Fretboard Restoration

Here's a 1950s Framus Black Rose with a mysteriously crooked, and not-quite-square mis-matched pearloid chip set into the fretboard at the 14th fret...

Concealed beneath the inlay was a large flat-headed screw, sealed in with epoxy glue(!) which had been used in an attempted neck repair by persons unknown...

I removed the pearloid and the neighbouring frets, extended the routing of the wood to the fret-slots, and inlaid a carefully shaped chip of Ebony;

I then sanded the fretboard area, popped the frets back in, and polished it up!
