1962 FENTON-WEILL Twistmaster
Serial No. 2167
In July 1962, the 'Twister' Range with it's "exciting new 'horn' shape" replaced Fenton-Weill's earlier 'American Label' range of solids (Twinmaster, Triplemaster, Contrabass, Stereomaster), which had themselves only been introduced in November 1961.
Featuring a new 'exposed polepiece' redesign of Fenton-Weill's high-output single coil pickups, and their excellent Featherlite vibrato system, which their publicity material unfortunately claimed, "can not be improved in any way"(!)
Note Heel-less Neck Joint and novel 'Blown-in' Black finish on neck.
Nickel-Plated Teardrop-shaped Van Gent tuners with Ivoroid buttons
Dealer sheet, circa July 1962
