American Label Range, 1961-2

Melody Maker 11th Nov 1961

The 1961 AMERICAN LABEL RANGE comprised the Twinmaster / Triplemaster / Stereomaster / Contrabass models, these being a medium scale 2-pickup guitar, a short-scale 3-pickup mono, or stereo guitar, and accompanying bass versions of the revised contoured Super Streamline model. Introduced Nov 1961, quickly updated to 6-in-line headstock for Christmas 1961. Also offered with Twister body shape from June 1962-1963/4. Contrabass with Super Streamline body shape and Penetrone pickups continues to be offered through 1963/4, alongside the Twistratone Bass.
